As per E-waste Rule 2016, the E-waste defined as ‘electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumer or bulk consumer as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes.

E-waste contains many valuable, recoverable materials such as aluminium, copper, gold, silver, plastics, and ferrous metals. In order to conserve natural resources and the energy needed to produce new electronic equipment from virgin resources, electronic equipment can be refurbished, reused, and recycled instead of being land-filled.

E-waste also contains toxic and hazardous materials including mercury, lead, cadmium, beryllium, chromium, and chemical flame retardants, which have the potential to leach into our soil and water.

As per the E-Waste Management Rules, 2016 a Producer Responsibility organization is a professional organization authorized or financed collectively or individually by producers which can take the responsibility of for collection & channelization of E-Waste generated from the end of life from electronics to ensure environmentally sound management of such E-Waste.

Role of M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD. AS A PRO

As a PRO M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD will facilitate producer or producers in meeting their legal obligation that includes fulfilling their collection targets, setting up of collection centre on PAN India level, running take back system, awareness about E-waste through different medium (through media, digital awareness, training programme)

Responsibility of M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD. AS A PRO

– As a PRO M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD will be collecting & channelizing the E-Waste on behalf of Authorized Producers for environmentally sound management of such waste.

– As a PRO M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD will be establishing a collection mechanism which includes direct collection from customer’s premises or door to door collection, E-Waste exchange etc.

– Arrangement of buy back , take back scheme

– Establishment of Collection points on PAN India

– Arrangement of logistic

– Ensure environmentally sound management transportation, storage, recycling of collected E-Waste.

– Conducting awareness programme among consumers/bulk consumers/producers for collection & channelization of E-Waste.

– Helping Producers in filling quarterly/annual returns as per the E-Waste Management rules.

M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD is connected with the M/s. CEREBRA INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED situated at Plot No. 41 to 46 KIADB Industrial Area Survey. No Parts of 22 & 23, Narsapura, Hoblikolar Taluk & District, 563101 for the safe recycling & disposal of E-Waste.

M/s. CEREBRA INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED is a Registered Recycler with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board having an authorization of 20000 MTA.

– M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD will collects the E-Waste on behalf of producer from PAN India Level, & their logistics partner M/s. DTDC Express Ltd. will transport the E-Waste collected to M/s. CEREBRA INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED recycling plant facility situated at Plot No. 41 to 46 KIADB Industrial Area Survey. No Parts of 22 & 23, Narsapura, Hoblikolar Taluk & District, 563101.

– Take back system by running Buy back arrangement – Under buy back scheme, in case where the customer wants to discard their old product, they may call at the Toll free number of M/S TVS ELECTRONICS LTD and representatives of M/s. TVS ELECTRONICS LTD shall approach to the customer and buy the said discarded product from the customer.

– Direct Collection from Customer’s premises or door to door collection – For collection of E-Waste Customer can call on toll free number and the E-Waste will be collected from direct customer premises.

– Awareness – Awareness through media, digital awareness, advertisement, conducting training in schools, RWA, Colleges, through website, social media.

M/s. TVS ELECTRONICS LTD has signed an agreement with M/s. CEREBRA INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED situated at 31-B, KIADB Industrial Area, Bangalore Chinthamani Road, Hosakote, Bangalore -562114 for the safe recycling & disposal of E-Waste.

M/s. TVS ELECTRONICS LTD has signed an agreement with M/s. DTDC Express Ltd. for the channelization of E-Waste to the recycling facility.

Collection Centre Details

M/s. TVS ELECTRONICS LTD has signed an agreement with M/s. DTDC Express Ltd situated at Plot No. 198, Industrial Area, Phase-2, Panchkula, Haryana – 134102 for the channelization of E-Waste to the recycling facility.

Arrangement of collection centre will be from M/s. TVS ELECTRONICS LTD, M/s. DTDC Express Ltd will ensure safe & environmentally sound transportation of E-Waste to the recycling facility.

Creates Jobs: E-waste recycling creates new jobs for professional recyclers and creates a secondary market for recycled materials.

M/s TVS ELECTRONICS LTD hadplannedto adopt theBuy-backScheme:

– Under Buyback Scheme, in cases where the customer wants to discard their old product, they may call atthe Toll-Free number (18004254528) and our representatives shall approach the customer and buy thesaiddiscarded product fromthecustomerandinconsideration.

– The Customer shall also be free to deposit the discarded product at the nearest collection point and he will get the discount voucher and shall be eligible for the discount on the purchase of a selected new product of the Company. The company will coordinate with other independent vendors who may sell the e-waste/EOL product collected by them.

– The Company will furthermore elaborate its scheme and shall keep updating the same based on theexperience faced whileimplementingthe saidschemesona quarterly basis.

– For the collectionofe-waste,TheCompanyhasset up a toll-freenumberwhereanycustomermaycallandregister itselfforeitherdepositingtheiroldproductfreeofcostorotherwiseunder a buy-backprograminitiated by the company. The company shall give its toll-free number on its product manuals, website, and socialnetworking platforms and at its various connected premises for its customer information for disposal oftheir e-waste. The customer can directly call on these numbers and the e-waste will be directly collectedby the company or by its recycler partner. The company has tie up with a logistics partner who manages logisticservicethrough M/s DTDC Express situated at Plot No:198, Industrial Area,Phase 2,Panchkula, Haryana – 134102 availableatmostofthe locations at M/s TVS Electronics LTD collection centre.

– The Company has tied -up with the M/s Green Era Recyclers (Dismantler) for the collection of all our E-waste on PAN India and disposes the same at their plantat No: 37,Sivanandha Industrial Complex, Dr. M. SUdayamurthy Nagar, Thadagam Road, Edayarpalayam. Coimbatore – 641025. and the waste sent to M/s TES – AMM (India) Pvt Ltd for the further process of recycling at their Dismantling plant at A-18,Sipcot Industrial Growth Centre Panrutti A village,Oragadam ,Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram Dist, Tamil Nadu- 631 604.Customers can reach or call on 18004254528 Our representatives explain to them the process of disposal and make them aware of the nearest drop point available to drop the e-waste also give information about incentives we will offer to them against their end-of-life product. If any customer wants to hand over the material from their doorsteps, we do send either our logistics team or the E-waste Solutions team to collect the items and channelize the same to our e-waste partner plant for final processing.

Do’s:

– Always look for information in the catalog with your product for end-of-life equipment handling.

– Ensure that only Authorized Recyclers/ Dismantler handle your electronic products

– Always call our toll-free No’s to dispose of products that have reached end-of-life

– Always drop your use delectronic products, batteries, or any accessories when they reach the end of their life at your nearest Authorized E-Waste Collection Points.

– Always disconnect the battery from the product, and ensure any glass surface is protected against breakage.

Don’ts:

– Do not dismantley our electronic Products on your own

– Do not throw electronics in bins having a “Do not Dispose”

– Do not give e-waste to informal and unorganized sectors like Local Scrap Dealer/ Rag Pickers.

– Do not dispose of your producting arbagebins along with municipal waste that ultimately reaches landfills.
